Single Vision - These lenses are prescribed when you need correction for either distance or reading areas only. The power is the same throughout the entire lens.
Multifocal - The latest advancement in Multifocal technology is the no line Varilux Progressive lens which allows you to experience a more natural-like vision. The visual power change is gradual allowing a softer transition from distance to near, unlike the lined bifocal.
Bifocal lenses - Prescribed when you need correction for both distance and near vision. Trifocals provide correction for 3 fields of vision, including distance, near and intermediate in 1 lens. Both bifocal and trifocals have lines in their lenses. |
